- Music is all about connecting with one's emotions -

Unorthodox Sounds, by Andrea "Andy" Cosentino, is a concept, as well as a state of mind, and certainly, a physical place.

The concept is to provide highly professional production, mixing and mastering services where research and experimentation are not just allowed, but encouraged. These are aimed at enhancing the music and provide it with it's own unique voice, an unmistakable stamp.

The state of mind is the one required to achieve a result that truthfully reflects the emotional content of the musical piece, without falling into clichés or stereotypes.

The physical place where the activities take place is Andy's own Living Room Studio, in the beautiful town of Mesocco, in Southern Switzerland. Here the sonic seeds undertake a complete permutation, eventually giving birth to an engaging journey of the duration of a song or an album.

A place where the nature of the treatment of the source material, being it digital or analog, it is just not relevant.

In this instance sounds take shape to become something tangible.

I'm not a "preset" guy and never will be.

One may say that this can be counterproductive in a fast-paced world like the one we live in.

I would reply that each and every project has its own peculiarities and thus special care is to be taken.

My rates vary depending on the production requirements. Please get in touch for a quote.

I'm more than happy to work on both attended and remote mixing sessions. If you wanna come over, please just do.

I like people hanging at the studio! Plus, you'll get as much coffee as you feel like! :D

I work in LUNA / Pro Tools. You can send me your sessions via whichever cloud service you feel the most appropriate.

Please though, make sure the sessions are consolidated and all the soft-synth tracks are frozen/bounced to audio.

Alternatively, you can send me the raw tracks for me to import in a new session. In this case make sure the tracks are consolidated so they all start on the same beat.
